Why is Thymulen®4 So Great?
This highly purified ingredient compensates the natural loss of thymic factors related to the decline of the thymus with age. Thymulen®4 stimulates growth and differentiation of keratinocytes (major cell type of the epidermis). It also stimulates the Langerhans cells (immune cells located in the epidermis) environment. By reinforcing the cutaneous immune defenses and boosting the epidermis regeneration, we see the restoration of aging, mature skin.
The Role of the Thymus

How Does It Work?

The GMCSF stimulates the production of granulocytes (neutrophils, eosinophils, and basophils), macrophages and Langerhans cells. It is thus part of the immune response.

Keratinocytes produce keratin and cytoplasmic proteins like keratohyalin. These proteins form the skeleton of the cell and contribute to the skin barrier function. With age, keratinocytes renewal is slower and is expressed by a reduction of the thickness of the epidermis. Preserving and stimulating the epidermis profile will maintain a protecting covering against environmental influences and prevent water and other essential elements from escaping the body.
